How Did This Happen?

Once upon a time, Tyler was as small as Matthew is in this picture!! We talked about the day he would grow up and go on a mission! We sang, "I hope they call me on a mission..."
Well, suddenly he's grown a foot or two, and they did....they called him on a mission!!

This cute boy you see pictured here will leave on June 24, 2009 to enter the MTC, where he will learn Spanish, and then go to the GUATAMALA, GUATAMALA mission.
How will we get along without him for 2 years. I can't imagine. It's the day we dream will happen all of their lives. Then it comes and it rips your heart out!! It's been hard enough to have him be away at school. Tonight the girls were reading some papers he had written in school (sort of a journal thing) and they came to me crying! "I can't believe we won't see him for 2 years!!" "waaaaaa"

But we are so proud of Tyler and the choices he has made in his life that have brought him to where he is now!! And although we will miss him like crazy, there is no place on earth we would rather have him be!! The people of Guatamala will love him! And they are the luckiest people on earth. What a wonderful son to have! We have been priviliged to have him be the oldest in our family...to lead the way for the others. WE LOVE YOU TYLER.

Here we are on Becca's Baptism Day. She asked Tyler to baptize her. It was a special day! One that Becca will always cherish!! Lucky that she got to have her special big brother baptize her!!

Skyview Perfect Season

This weekend Travis was fortunate enough to play in the State Basketball Tournament and sweep through the tournament finishing the season with a 26-0 record and a State Championship. His team has been extremely successful and went into state coming off of a district championship and a 23-0 record. State was a nail-biter for them. Every one of their games went into at least one overtime. These boys really put on a show, they are truly cardiac kids. Travis, unfortunately had been sick over the weekend so he missed some playing time but he made the best of the opportunities he got. We are so proud of him! (Travis is #1-no, literally!)
